The Leopard was developed from 1961 - 1965 in Germany by famous manufacturers (Porsche,Mercedes, Krauss Maffei). The Main Battle Tank was introduced in 1965 and get some liftings from 1972-1977 and 1986. In 1979 the US-German project Tank 70 was failed and the Leopard 2 was introduced in the German Army. He became facelifting and updates from 1982 - 1985 and since 1995 with the new turret concept.
The Leopards in OFP and ArmA are based mostly on the models of the Bundeswehr Mod.
